Volunteers:
Our current team include Kamila, Yasmin, Hannah, Michelle, Anne Marie, Orla, Siobhán, and Assia.
SAOL Project welcomes the vitality and energy of volunteers and is grateful for all the work they do. Specifically employed to run our Saturday services, volunteers have been involved with our singing, drama, blogging, art work, cookery classes, and website and social media presence.
All volunteers take part in a six week training programme run by SAOL. This covers topics including harm reduction, understanding addiction, trauma and trauma informed practice, women and addiction, active listening and the policies and practices of SAOL.

Student Placements:

SAOL project works closely with universities and PLC Colleges to support the training of social workers, social care workers, youth and community workers, childcare workers, psychotherapy courses and addiction workers in Ireland.
We work closely with each course/college in order to ensure that we can provide a useful work experience as well as appropriate supervision that fulfils CORU requirements.
SAOL is happy also to have a supportive and engaging relationship with the staff from the colleges that send their students to us and this has led to research and other work being done together, to the mutual benefit of both students and participants of SAOL.
If you are interested in completing a placement with SAOL project, please discuss the matter with the course placement supervisor first and then make contact with us through Reidin, our Head of Services at reidin@saolproject.ie
